Title: The Story of Father Anthony Hofstee
1.    What values are exemplified by Fr. Hofstee?
Generosity, Humility, Love, Passion, Service
2.    In what consists Fr. Hofstee’s Heroism?
Fr. Hofstee was considered hero because of his love for others and being a person for others. I have never known great man who was very passionate on taking care for the welfare of others, living life committed to inspire and make others happy. Truly, he was a hero.
3.    What lesson can you draw from his life?
Lately, I have realized that I have been doing/undertaking things for myself alone and tend to forget others. This story reminded me that we are not made to live for ourselves alone. People out there, waiting to be heard, need us, especially those who are in need and less fortunate. If we stretch our reach to them, with passion and love, we can be someone who can boost and inspire them. Life is beautiful when we practice the life of Fr, Hofstee.
4.    What do you think is the reward of Fr. Hofstee’s Genorisity towards the lepers? How the lepers did express their gratitude to him?
Fr. Hofstee was always remembered. He was a hero for them and his good deeds transpired from one generation to another. The lepers showed genuine appreciation to the great Fr. Hofstee through recalling the values manifested by the then life of Fr. Hofstee and forever those values were engraved in their hearts.
5.    What was the attitude of Fr. Hofstee towards earthly honors?
Honestly speaking, I have been struggling with the way I am delighted with earthly honors. I hope I can learn from the life of Fr. Hofstee, a very humble servants, meek genuine hero. I was reminded that, there is no need to show to the world who you are, what matters most is you know you are doing what is right and pleasing to the eyes of our Lord. God knows everything.
