How TacNHS celebrates NSTW2019



With a very short notice, still, we had able to celebrate this year's National Science and Technology Week 2019 memorably.


This year's theme is "Science for the People: Enabling Technologies for Sustainable Development". It aims to promote innovations to attain the crafted sustainable development goals of countries under the umbrella of the United Nations, and Philippines as a member country, Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and other agencies including DepEd directed schools to celebrate this week-long activity. 

In school, Science Department headed by Mr. Jethro Odoy, the School Science Coordinator and with the helped of the Science Club Officers headed by Jeck Lou Isidor, organized a school-based activity with the different line-up of events, to wit: Poster Making Contest, Essay Writing Contest, Sci-Tech Quiz Show and Moda TacNHS 2019 (Eco Fashion Show). The culmination happened last July 19, 2019 and everybody was jubilant as they cheered their representatives rocking the runway.

Poster Making Contest:
1st - Jeralyn Vitor (Grade 11 Duterte)
2nd - Honey Jean Curambao (Grade 12 Mayon)
3rd - Michael Entero (Grade 12 Apo)

Essay Writing Contest:
1st - Crystal Dawn Labastida (Grade 12 Apo)
2nd - Judy Rose Generalao (Grade 10 Aquamarine)
3rd - Lovely Joy Ibabao (Grade 12 Mayon)

Sci-Tech Quiz Show Champion - Hanna dela Pena (Grade 12 Apo)

1st Runner Up - Joyce Dumandan (Grade 10 Diamond)

4th Runner Up - Bea Alinabon (Grade 10 Aquamarine)

Of course, without the brilliant people behind the scenes, this event would not exceed everyone's expectations. The facilitators whom dedication and commitment always radiate, namely, Mrs, Loiendalou Ansugan, Earlie Theresa Derro and Angeli Rivera made the activity even more successful and with the support of our School Principal, Dr. Helen G. Reyno.

The Science Team is looking forward again for the upcoming Science Month Celebration this September and surely activities and events will excite the TacNHS community.
